I will soon be trading for a '93 sol si (hence my changed username ) and was wondering what if any do these cars have as far as common problems. I've alread heard about the roof panel leaking when the seal needs to be replaced but other than that that's all I know of.

 

the honda power windows, falling out of tracks etc... leaky trunk, although i haven't had any problems with that and i have original seals. flimsy door handles. thinking off the top of my head right now and at work so i'm sure i missed alot more.

 

there was a really detailed post about this in this forum. but i dont feel like searching for it.

 

Driver side interior vinyl tears over time (normal wear and tear).

 

Lots of water problems: top, trunk, "Sloshing" behind the seats.
Wrinkled door panels
Thin seat material
Sheet metal tears near the door latch
Aux lights always burn out

Most are easy fixes...the best way to fix all these problems is just to find a 96-97...then you have to worry about OBD issues with tuning and swaps...esp if you live in Cali
