Alright, I have a 1993 Civic Del Sol S. It dosnt have an electric locking mechanism (though was that available on this model?) and for some reason, the locks on the interior will not move, so it must be unlocked with a key from the outside (the inside locking mechanism moves when unlocked outside with a key). I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem, and if so how to remedy this. Also I was wondering if there is any electric locking kits that will easily install on my car.

I don't know about electronic kits, but I had almost the exact same thing happen on my 94 Sol. On mine the lock was jamming somehow and eventually ended up screwing up so bad a little plastic piece on the outside handle ended up breaking so the only way to get it open was to unlock it from outside, then reach in (through window or passenger side) and open door. I just got it fixed a few weeks ago and the lock is still screwy like if I try to unlock it w/ the key the inside mechanism doesn't pop all the way, it just pushes out enough for mechanism to catch.

I would suggest either getting some parts online or via junkyard and getting it fixed as soon as possible, otherwise it's just gonna get worse.

Thanx, ill try doin that, i have to get plates for it tomorrow so i can acually drive it (its been sittin in my driveway b/c the engine didnt work, so i put in a used engine for $500 and it runs now) and i've been custom modding this car, b/c its a nice car if it works P. but ill take it apart tomorrow and see if i can fix anythign by hand, and ill get an acuator for the electronic lockin so i can put an alarm in the damn thing.
