Import show. They have the car show, vendors, dyno runs, food, bikini contest, and this year they have a road course that you can run on.

Check out my CRX on display in building T. It will either be in the Speednation booth (I work there) or the Grassroots Motorsports magazine booth-maybe both if they're next to each other. Check out my profile for more info on the car.

Carlisle is in Pennsylvania. It is near Harrisburg. About a 2 hour drive from where I live.

Uh, no. The fuel system still needs some fine tuning and I haven't even put it on the dyno either. Plus the new suspension is still sitting in the garage waiting to go on the car.

Besides, I saw the autocross course last week at the spring show and wasn't much impressed. It's basically an oval with a couple of offsets to slow the cars down. Supposedly in practice, the best times were around 25 seconds. There are also significant drop offs at the edges of the pavement and the chainlink fences are pretty close to the course too.

Should be very fun to WATCH. Drive it? I'll pass.

What's your hurry about seeing the car run? Trying to figure out how fast it is before I run it at North Park and Steel Cities?

Did I mention the LSD I was going to order?

Man, this weekend I'm going up to Hanover for a friends wedding. Its only 30 min or so from Carlisle. It would be so fun to get to go. I guess I'll have to miss it.
How popular is the import scene up there? When I moved away 9 yrs ago it was all domestics.

As long as you're not legal for prepared, no threat. Haven't found a justifiable reason to stay at Carlisle till Sunday. Leaving for there Friday @ 3am, coming back Saturday night for the North Hills auto-x.

25 second auto-x's? No thanks. We had one of those at Steel Cities last year, and it makes the whole event suck.

I'm betting Saturday morning might be a rough one. Carlisle Friday nights aren't typically quiet and peaceful. !

Not this year. There is NO camping permitted on Carlisle grounds for the Custom Compact show (and only this show). Carlisle Productions has had enough of the drinking, racing, fighting, and f**king that went on at night. The entire place will shut down in the early evening and a new security staff has been hired to clear the place out. Looks like the town and hotels will get ripped up

Two years ago at Carlisle, in broad daylight, I watched a guy and girl f**king in the backseat of a car on the showfield. There had to be about 150 to 200 people gathering around with cameras filming the whole thing. It was intersting to say the least.... Security will be VERY tight this year because of that kind of stuff.

I got a hotel room last week just a few miles down the road for $65 a night, which is really good considering places 25 minutes away wanted over $100 a night. I'm wondering if I'm going to get any sleep with a hotel full of parties and my CRX parked outside all by itself. I think I'll unbolt my distributor and take it to bed with me

After a while, you realize that cuts into the budget for making the car go faster and you cut back to just .

Not to worry, I realize the problems that go down there. My friend got a room at the hotel closest to the park, and we're there. I'm not looking for trouble, just some clean fun.

I've cut back to so I can at Carlisle
