Default $2000 to spend

i have 2g's to spend on my car. i have a 96 gsr with 135k miles. the only mod i have on this car is an aem v2 intake.
not sure whether i should go turbo or na. its ganna be my everyday ride
i have 2000 to spend and not a penny more.
if i go all motor i was planning on getting headers(probably comptech/hytech) exhaust(greddy evo 2), intake manifold(blox), camshafts(itr or skunk2 s1).
i dont know much about turbos and how much its ganna be.

i dont know much about car mods so turbo mite be out of the question cuz i heard its very high maintence.
if you guys think i should go na, please list some mods i can get to make my car fasster.
if you think i should go turbo, please list some stuff i need to get.

will i need to upgrade my ecu or anything?
please help

You could easily eBay a used JR supercharger for like $1200. Then you have $800 for a full exhaust system to go with it. Your AEM intake will fit the JRSC perfectly too.

You could spend the same amount on N/A mods and get like 15HP instead of 50HP.

it's late so i'm not going to say much. one thing i can tell you (taking the consideration your car is 4 dd) the buddy club spec 3's are alot better street cam. i wanted to retain my stock redline but have good power. bc is a awsome streetable cam, anyone who has owned a pair will tell you. better than itr/ctr for around the same price. get a i/h/c/e. if you wana get a blix i'm i'd HIGHLY reccomend a hondata in. mani gasket for when you install it. a good set a tires will do wonders (im runnin yokohama es 100's 205/45s- good tired) and b4 that i had some dunlop fm901s (popular aswell). i remember some guy said "dump it then bump it" so before you even mod your engine how do you plan to get that power to the ground? - suspension..........my cents, good luck man

If you're going to make this car a daily driver, I would suggest you stay all motor. I'm not saying turbo cars can't be driven daily, it just takes a little more care then N/A . And since you said you don't know much, you might as well go the N/A route. You already have the AEM intake, just get some nice headers (hypertech, jdm type R), type R cams, high flow cat, exhaust, and a V-AFC and you'll probably be really happy with the car. It would run 14's all day long with a good driver. You could probably do this all for around 2k.

I would stay all motor for a dialy with little knowledge about cars(Dont mean to be rude). Also i would go with a good header comptech, rmf, along with good flowing exhaust and cams. Depending on which cams you get they might recommend you upgrade your valvetrain. I would stay away from the vafc personally they are getting kind of old, just spnd the money on a good tune.

stay with the n/a route, turbo can be a little harder on your engine and its not really worth it for a daily driver

if you're really looking to do something, get new cams (itr is nice) and headers.

maybe look into an engine rebuild? keep her tuned up you'd probally be really happy with the results from that.

I agree, most people over look these little things that are very important, before modding the car.
