I bought a used passwordjdm 3 point strut bar for my GSR that has a skunk2 intake manifold

looked good when i put it on, i started it up and started hearing some clunking, I damn near crapped because I thought I had a rod knock

after further inspection I saw that my map sensor is hitting the bar

can I drill the holes where it bolts to the shock tower to pull the bar out more?

has anyone else had this problem?

 

Damn that sucks, that would be pretty scary. Let me understand better, you want to raise the bar. What you said still doesnt register to me??? Put washer under it i geuss!?!

 

move your map to the firewall with a rubber line

I was considering doing that, or trying to slide it towards the engine more so it will clear the MAP sensor

I would like that to be my last resor. I need a small plate for that and I dont think It looks very good removed and placed in another spot

 

Sorry not trying to hyjack this thread but Does anyone know how this bar compares to the 4 point nuesped bar? It looks much beefier but you never know...you know

The 4 point newspeed bar is still only a shock tower bar, the passwordjdm is a 3 point firewall bar and I could feel the difference over my old tower bar

even though im pissed that my map sensor is hitting it, it is still a good product in all other respects

 

just move the map to firewall, easiest way...

 

can you post up pictures? i want to see how it looks cause i got a gsr and plan to get the password 3 point struct too..
