Default stock gsr dual bend shifter

My car is a 91 civic sedan.

I didnt know where to post this!!

I know you guys are going to flame me and tell me to buy a short shifter but i cant because im broke.

I got the shifter for free from my friend. I really like how the duel bend shifter looks. I was trying to put the shifter in my car and the little rod thing under the ball was a little to long. My question is if i can cut the rod thing to the same size as my stock one. Or is there some other way to put this on.

I like the stock 3g Integra shifters...dual bend, steel and not ridiculously short like most aftermarket ones. You just have to cut down the bottom part to match the stock one so it fits on the linkage.

yeah i was thinking the same thing. But wouldn't it make the shifter work weak? Can i also bend the medal thing that connect to the shifter to make it fit?
