If a cop pulls you over, most likely they will still give you an exhaust ticket even if its not loud just because they can tell the exhaust tip (muffler) isnt oem. If you have a cat-back exhaust, keep everything and just put the stock muffler back on.

it does affect performance. however the r exhaust flows alot better then the stock gsrs or wutever. the law is if you modify ur muffler/exhaust in any way its against the law and you can be pulled over. depends on cops really.

Whats your goal and what car is this for with what mods currently?

A stock R catback is quite and compared to other stock integra catbacks has a better frlow but still has a bottleneck that restricts overall performance & is fuggin heavy.

The Skunk2 is loud, there's no two ways about it. Forget cops, I got meatballed at Limerock last year during a DE and had to come in and stuff in the butt plug to quiet it down a bit so I didn't get booted altogether. With the butt plug out it's loud and depending on what else you have done upstream. With the butt plug in it's quieter but still boomy in the cabin.

Several good catbacks that are on the quieter side are Fujitsubo RM01A, SMSP, Kakimoto R, Mugen twinloop & OEM/ITR.

First I think with your setup you'll find better response in the Hybrid forum.

And second you didn't mention what catback you currently have but I'll just guess that the stock R catback will be quieter, performance wise I won't guess.

And last you can use the Search function for questions such as yours because this topic has been covered many times before.

Best of luck.
