Default P28

I picked up a P28 ECU and got a conversion harness for my Y5 motor and hooked it all up. I'm throwing a CEL and the car bogs a lot and idles like crap. You guys have any suggestions as to me possibly playing with the timing a little to keep the motor running nice? Thanks!

Okay thanks. I pulled a code 41 which looks like primary o2 sensor heater. It's because my secondary o2 sensor isn't threaded into my header (Wires are too short to reach the hole) I will run my P2N ECU until I get a chance to solder new wires on the o2 sensor. Thank you so much for your help!

The P28 looks for a 2ndary O2 sensor? Didn't know that...because my EJ1's only got one sensor, and a P28...

I maybe wrong here but i think the HX motor looks for a 5 wire o2 while the P28 looks for a 4 wire. Thats the reason why your throwing that code, you have to convert.

I'm leaning in this direction too.

Word, I didn't think of that - though I've heard about it...

at op: you shouldn't need to get a diff O2 sensor, there's "how-to's" around if u search (the life of cars isn't restricted to honda-tech), I think I've seen 'em b4
