Its better than having the mile range from
the aftermarket alarms.
Scenario w/ some long range alarming system:
You're waking away from your car.
*beep beep* You locked your car as you waking away.
Before you pass the distance that you can lock/unlock your car,
you unlock it by accident and don't even know what's up. lol
Well, I think the alarm is fair and decent.

Yeah something like that. I know I can lay in my bed second story and lock the doors. Thats thru walls and crap.

lol, thats a pretty sick drawring there
a lot of people i went to high school with said that method made a difference also, I never really noticed if it did or not, but i think it has a lot to do with how you hold the remote... being that the fob is intergrated with the key itself, holding it the wrong way will easily interfere with the transmitter.

Why are you so concerned about it? I can understand if you were having to be RIGHT next to the vehicle for it to work, but you can be quite a ways away and it'll still unlock the doors... wahts so important about having a "long range" remote ??
I don't mind the limited distance on the lock, unlock and trunk functions, but the panic button is a different story.
I can see it now, you get in trouble in a garage, you hit the panic button on your key, now the assailant knows what car to throw in. lol

Out of curiousity why have the need to unlock/lock the car more than even 20 ft away? Our 06 LX is incredibly poor, 40ft if behind glass like a door and 50 or so from outside. I just don't see the need, unlock it while in car with button, open doors, hit lock button and done. Coming back to locked car? Wait until 10 ft and then press unlock?
