quick turbo ?'s i need answered
ive just installed my turbo the other week and i keep running into problems that are confusing me.
1st off...a/f gauge...am i suppose to hook it up half way from the o2 senor or can i just hook it straight to my ecu (p28 D14)
2nd...i dunno if my a/f gauge is not working right but my a/f gauge jumps from lean to rich once the car is warmed up. whats the best way to fix it, if im running too lean or rich. also what do i want it to be sitting at?

I wouldnt even use the a/f gauge. The only thing those gauges do is pretty much just light up.The only gauges that actually read whats going on is a wideband o2.I am sure you will get the same response from a few people on here.
a/f gauges dont do much. the narrowband signal they recieve is way too sensitive. a wideband is the way to go. plx is a great company as well as the aem unit. you can get a gauge type with from either company.
I see the AEM Uego gauges go for around $250 with a sensor. I've been using the AEM Bosch/Uego setup for years and I like it, plus it comes with a gauge that fits in a standard-sized gauge pod.
If you do use an A/F gauge, you can hook it up at the ECU, although I hooked my old one up under the center console where the wires from the sensor come up through the floor. It should jump around normally, that is correct operation. What you are looking for is to see it go rich under boost, it should always go solidly rich under boost. If it shows anything other than rich under boost, stop boosting immediately.
