Right now im running a set of 330cc injectors in my Mazda, and im finding it hard to believe i am maxing them out.

Mods are:
B6t bottom end
B6de top end
vj14 turbo with stock exhaust manifold, full 2.5 inch exhaust (including DP)
3 inch turbo intake, its boosting to around 13 lbs but i have to let off at 5.5 because it leans out FAST! in boost im at 11.8-12.0 when it starts to lean i watch it climb into the mid 13's and ive already let off.( this is in 3rd gear)

Fuel pressure is at 68-75 lbs ( I know, i know i know)


Ive been thinking that maybe my safc is having trouble controlling the injectors in the higher end maybe?

If not, anyone have a set of rx7 460's hanging out?

I don't know much about that motor or turbo, but from what I read its more like a b16 and a bigger t25 (t28). If it was a b16 w/big t25, 13psi/70psi would be around 225whp with a s-afc. FYI Hondas usually max at [indivitual injector CC x 0.7 = whp], thats with stand alone tuning, much less with FPR and 'afc hack' tuning.

<U>In a nutshell those injectors are just maxed out</U>. A Honda could do maybe 230whp on those with a nice pump and fuel pressure. You can usually find DSM 450cc injectors here for ~$50. They aren't the best but I'd rather risk a rare stuck pintle than a present fuel shortage. I know the earlier Rx7 injectors were the same style used in Hondas, don't know if the ones your thinking of are side feed.

 

Nope the Rx7's are a direct bolt on for me, no resistor wiring, just bolt in and swap out the plugs.

i guess its kind of cool im maxing out the injectors i was only hoping for around 175 hp on this setup....
