Default DYNO results US vs other countries

I have noticed over the years the US dynos give a lot higher reading than other countrues.

The only thing i can put it down to is what is configured on the DYNO for drivetrain loss.

What is the typical setting set for preludes in the US ??? I read article about exact figures years ago and can't find it anywhere.

some countries use a different unit of measurement. And in many cases the numbers you see are lower. HP and Tq arent the only way to measure power.

yeah i know we use metric kw, and Nm.

after the conversion it still does not explain the 15% differential right across the board. Thats why the drive train loss configured on the dyno could explain this consistent differential.

Well, differences in sea level and climate can also come into effect couldn't it?

yes. as well as tire pressure and how the dyno was calibrated. There are many things that can throw off the numbers.

^^^exactly. And, if you look at dyno numbers w/in the US, you'll find that many of them vary a lot even w/ similar mods. Different dynos have very different results.
