I have a 99 si in good shape and i met a guy autocrossing whos dream is to own one. so basically, hes offering me a very clean 91 hatch that was babied and built for autocross. it has a strong d16 with basic mods, and an integra rear end. the car is balanced almost perfectly 50/50 and pretty much kills. along with the car hes offering me a jdm b16a, trans, wiring harness, hasport mounts, a stage 3 clutch, and a lot of other stuff, plus a good amount of cash.

it seems legit and like he really is just crazy about the si. should i?

It's really up to u

I personally hate the style of the 91 hatches...92-95 is my favorite, followed by 96+, with <92 at the bottom...

He is on the other hand offering u a nice chunk with the JDM B16 (which is what, 3 grand, maybe more?) along with all the stuff u need to run it in basically any honda/acura shell

How much is he offering to u as the cash imbalance?

I don't like the EF body style. I'd keep your coupe.

Well its up to you...however its been my experience when some one builds a car for auto cross they dont tend to "babie" it as you described. Every car i have built for auto-x have been driven hard...real hard so i would be careful on that one. Unless the "good amount of cash" you speak of is like $6k or more i wouldnt even think about it. But thats just me

Just remember...if the Si gets stolen...you will be reimbursed heavily by your insurance. If the hatch gets stolen, you'll get blue book. Which is like $400 bucks.

Good call Bauley, that never crossed my mind. Stick with your coupe.
