I was going down the highway in my 1990 Civic HB, then all of sudden it backfired, then died. I tried starting it up again and it backfired again. I had it towed to the shop and I checked: timing belt, spark and the fuel pump. It turns over easily, but wont run.

Any help apprecitated

 

what motor do you have? if you were pounding on it, you timing belt might have slipped a tooth... check for any CELs, then go from there..
