Default ran over a fire hydrant cover... what do you think

o so i hit a fire hydrant cover on the way home from work :-( and well ya it hurt. the question is....
i have replaced the oil pan and oil pump. should i be stressing over anything else?
everything looked good but is there a way to "know" that everything is ok?
the car is running good with a steady temp. so what do you think?

it's a 95 civic coup SOHC

thanks,
jeremie

You already replaced what was damaged. I would get under there and inspect the crank.

He hit a fire hydrant cover that was in the middle of the road, ******* kids, learn to read. Like stated, check the crank. If the car seems to run fine and you hear no abnormal sounds, don't worry about it.

Is the "fire hydrant cover" just the tophat part of the hydrant? I've never heard the term "fire hydrant cover" so perhaps I'm thinking of something else? Regardless, fire hydrants aren't along the highway, so this had to be a business/residential area, correct?

Perhaps one of the covers, that when removed, you screw on the fire hose.

i suggest going back, and finding out which firehydrant is missing the cap.

it could be that the fire department failed to reinstall the cover or something, and you could seek recovery for damaged

tried that and they said that it was considered a road hazard and not the fire departments fault. that some kids could have removed it.

You didn't tell us where this happened. Please give us the full story.

Also, did you take any pictures of the accident scene or the fire hydrant that was missing the cap (not cover: a "cover" would be something that you drape over the entirety of the fire hydrant, by the way)? I'll bet the fire department could be forced to pay for that.
