Corrossion Protection??

Default Corrossion Protection??

A budy of mine just bought a new 2006 Civic and its got some sort of corrosion protection wich is some sort of electronic box under the hood. Anyways we are trying to find some info on how this is supose to work. Does anyone know anything about this or know where I can read more about it??

It sounds like a dealer installed option. The conceptis that corrosive agents work because they are naturally occuring ions, I think they are negative charged ions. The electronic module is supposed to give the engine,body, etc. a low voltaged negative ionic charge. This has the effect of two negative polar ends of a magnet and repell corrosive particles. At least that is the idea, I've never heard of these things actually working though.
