Has anyone done this before? It's really easy for me to stick my hand under the grille and just open the hood. I thought of just welding something under the release to make it unreachable from the grille, but there's got to be something better. Found some comments on here about it but didn't look like anyone had actually done it.

 

I have a 98+ bumper and there's no way I can stick my hand in the grill and reach the hood release, and I don't have the big of hands either.

I have a 99, because of the intercooler I had to cut away a huge part of the bumper, so the black cross-grille thing is all gone now, just an open hole.

try tucking it to the back of the radiator support


basically if someone wants something in your car they will get it, but there are little things you can do to detur them

Wow, that's a large or low intercooler. One nasty pothole and that baby is gone.
