Default 05 Accord over heating

Hi,

I have a 05 Honda Accord LX with 20k miles on it. Had given it for the 20k mile service just last week.

Yesterday, on my way to palm springs aerial tram way, we had to go up hill for about 3 miles. There were five of us in the car and the trunk was also full. Generally, I am very particular about the AC operation. Even on freeways, I usually turn it off while going up-hill, but yesterday, it was too warm, and I thought that 3 miles wouldn't be a problem for the car, just as we crossed the 2 mile mark, the car started stalling, and it lost the acceleration, I immediately turned the air conditioning off, the temperature guage was about 3/4th which I guess is higher than normal. (usually it is just below 1/2 of the full scale).
Somehow we made it to the lower parking lot, and left it to cool.

My question is, is this ok for a fairly new car, which has been recently serviced at the dealer location. Do you think there is something wrong in the setting etc. Should I get it checked again ??? It has been serviced just a week ago though.

Thanks,
Ray

take it to the dealer, it's not normal. Atleast check the radiator/coolant level.
