calling out people with exedy and ACT clutches!
my brother has a ACT with new stock pressure plate and a streetlight flywheel and when he takes off, it makes a horrible buuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound.
1- does the exedy setup do this? or just ACT?
2- is it because of the stock PP?
3- any other reasons?
im thinking exedy for the win because that sound is ******* annoying, what do you guys think?

It's probably because of the STOCK pressure plate, when you buy a new setup, get a whole damn kit (throwout bearing, pressure plate, and clutch disc), I've put in numerous ACT clutches, god bless 'em I love 'em and I had a problem with ONE and that was becaues it came from the factory fucked up and I didn't notice it before I put it in - sent it back, they gave me a new one with just the re-stocking charge, went in fine of course, and that was that..
i have had my act hdss with prolight flywheel in for prob almost 2 years now and it is still working like the first day i put it in. no slipping no nothing. so props to act.
i've got the ACT street clutch and pressure plate...
i agree with everyone else...god bless em...clutch has never given me a problem..

Like I said before, only other thing I can say (again) is this: buy the whole system from Exedy, or clutchmasters, or ACT (ACT my favorite, gogogogo there) or an OEM one even..but make sure it's teh whole kit, u have a new flywheel (or ur buyin one) so u don't need to resurface it...just make sure the kit includes the throwout bearing, the clutch disc, and the pressure plate... Asside from that, type is totally up to u, the ACT street clutch feels nice, even on a stock engine though...that's even in my personal opinion..
