Default NEWB QUESTION

hi i was just wondering what a chip p28 does to your car? ive googled and yahooed it but all i find is FS/FT. they dont say anything about them?
i have a 96 gsr with just a cai. going to get headers and intake manifold soon. would i need to buy a p28 for more peformance, cuz alot of peoeple say you lose perfomace when you go for an aftermarket i/m without the chipped p28.

you can chip your ecu, but you also need to have it programmed. and, yes, it could make your car faster, but you need to do a lot more to your car. you will definitly need that chip once you put a cam, and valve trane in your car.. so , have fun..

i don't think you should worry about the ecu until you get some more mods done to your car.

Why waste money on an IM at this stage in the game? After you get turbo, then go for that.
