Default accord help for noob

i need your opinion guys...i'm about to buy a 1998-2002 honda accord. i'm going to go with auto tranny. haven't decided on coupe or sedan yet...most likely coupe though...questions:

1) 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder?

2) i have brand new NOS kit at home, should i install?

3) i have brand new hondata s100 lying around, should i install in accord? is it worth it?

any advice would be great guys. thanks

1. the I4 trans will live longer but you are most likely not gonna get 200K out of it

2. with auto trans on this car being of **** poor quality, not a chance I would install NOS

3. Sell it unless you plan on seriously modding car and then I refer you to #1 and #2 above

V6 is much quieter than I4 will ever be and there is plenty of omph at highway speed but the auto trans is crap and will most likely croak well before 150K

okay...to the REAL questions you asked not about the tranny because it wasnt a question..
i say 4 banger cuz you can have more fun with it and not much you can do to the j without spending lots of money.
ya i would install the nos. not much tho and hook it up to where you have a switch to engage it and only sprays at full throttle.
and i dont know wut the hondata is gonna do for your stock car. might as well leave that alone.

i'm trying to get out of the manual tranny...i want my fiance to be able to drive my car when she wants to...so no manual tranny...any pros and cons for the I4 or V6? i like I4 because gas saver, but V6 for the extra power...but which one would last longer as far as maintenance and tranny longevity? i don't plan on fixing up this car that much...just a daily driver with few little mods to make it look clean and run good...

1) so no N20?

2) sell the hondata s100?

3) tune the accord?

98-02 auto trans are the ones with the taper bearings in the differential. To put it mildly, you couldn't chase me fast enough to give me a 98-02 Accord with an auto trans.

so here is my conclusion after hearing all your guys opinion:

1) i am 90% sure that i am getting 2 door coupe
2) V6
3) i will put my hondata s100 in and tune
4) i will put my nos kit in but only spray about 50 shot

if you guys any other suggestions or comments, i'd love to hear it...but otherwise, thanks a lot guys

If you add nos you are going to hurt that motor and fast. bottle feed horse power, is like putting the car on steroids. It works great at first, but with out the right base, a built motor, you'll probably fry some pistion rings.

Not really. Not if he does everything that is supposed to be done. Nitrous is just fine as long as you are not running it constantly.

1. I4, the tranny will last longer than the v6

2. no nitrous, cuz like everyone else said, you will kill the engine faster.

3. only use the hondata if you are runnin FI.

if you're looking to have a lil more power, and not planning on modding the car much, jus get an I4 and slap on a few bolt ons, also make it a manual, its boring to have an automatic. good luck with your decision
