engine cover? The hood? lol...
Intake cover, spark plug cover, and valve cover (I think this is what you're refering to) are all removable. It's easy to do with a socket wrench and a screw driver, but its also easy to mess up the engine.
If you attempt this make sure you are in a clean area without debree flying around when you expose the internals.

do u mean the intake manifold cover?
i did it today actually 10mm socket, and it looked like poop i thought. so, i put it back on... however maybe with the JDM valve cover or perhaps polished manifold or both it would look good. (my 2 cents)
