it will be here too, once gas prices reach the same level here as they are in europe. this whole green car **** is pissing me off. theyve had hydrogen concept cars for well over a decade now; i think its finally time for some companies to get their **** together and start producing a line or two of hydrogen cars, instead of waiting until its too little, too late

honestly that really isnt an amazing number. My old ex civic got 34 mpg all the time. My current ep3 gets 30mpg and 35mpg on the highway (my friends type s gets about the same as me.) So I dont see the MPG number to be anything to be happy about. Maybe because diesel fuel is cheaper but I think it will also contiue to rise so yea

yes I mean to state MPG instead of MPH.
But it has been around for a while. With the use of diesel, we can switch over to using Biodiesel fuels to run the car. Although, the though of using grease might give the car hard starts in the morning, it would make good use of left over oils from companies.
I really wish they would start making some hydrogen cars off the line..in a mass produced kind of way.

Ever toyed around with bio-diesel? You can produce the stuff from the waste oil from a fry vat and some off the shelf products from your local auto-parts store for less than 60 cents a gallon. The stuff actually has a higher cetane rating than diesel from a gas station.
Honda itself has not said anything about this coming to the usa.
They have brushed the idea but have not let out any news to us (honda service and parts departments).
When they come out with a new idea they usually say something on our e-mails.

I could see a diesel getting 200HP but not 30mpg. Diesel fuel has a lot more restrictions than the unleaded stuff the rest of us use. The new diesel VW Beetle and either the Passat or Golf get far better gas mileage, more horsepower, and are just plain faster (o-60) than their regular gas counterparts. And they pollute a lot less too.
It's a decent step and kinda cool cause you can run the biofuels like vegetable oil for dirt cheap.
Oh and by the way, don't hype hydrogen cars. Last time I checked, hydrogen isn't a renewable resource either...

Yep, was watching a news thing on discovery channel. Although Hydrogen isn't renewable, it's also a clean source since its exhaust is water?(might have the concept mixed up, but im pretty sure it's water). And we currently don't have a CLEAN way of producing pure hydrogen, so it wouldn't be effective to just jump on the hydrogen wagon YET. BMW made a sports car that can run on hydrogen OR pump gas. does 0-100 in 7 seconds? BMW is considering marketing hydrogen vehicles, but that won't be hitting the market for another 2-3 years. There's 1 shell station in the east coast of the US.... I think in Florida... that has a hydrogen pump.
