Heat Shields
So I have the rattling at 3-4000 rpms but have a question before I go about fixing it. I was wondering if there was even a real advantage to keeping the heat shields on? I was just going to take them off instead of always tightening them.
I took all of mine off on all 3 cars (2 integras, 1 civic) with no problems, however some other people on here are in love with their heat shields and won't recommend that.
Just don't keep anything that can melt in your armrest. Without the heatshield that goes on the exhaust that's under there, it gets pretty hot sometimes inside the armrest.

very common problem, you can remove the shields and run perfectly fine without them, but may create a little extra heat
if you remove the shields and the rattling continues then it maybe a damaged screen in the cat
