I'm gonna guess that they aren't using anything.

I'm curious as to why you'd rip it out? What do you do about a defroster? Not having A/C would be tough enough, but no heat either?

HAHA - I bet she never wants to ride in your car now either My GF complains that my AC doesn't get cold enough for her in the summer. I'm perfectly happy with the windows. I tell her "honey - what happens when I get a turbo for christmas and your *** is without AC PERIOD. She replies; "Then I'll call my ex and have _him_ pick me up when I don't feel like driving my own car."

A good jacket and some paper towels for the manual defroster . I haven't had a/c or heat in either of my cars for the past 3 or more years. I freeze my *** off in my hatch, but my 4-door keeps semi warm from my downpipe and exhaust that runs right under the shifter with no shields

You'd be surprised. It gets chilly as fawk here. Different kind of cold, but still cold.

Relative to where you live and how long you've been there. I just moved to Vegas 4 months ago. I see kids with winter jackets on already and then there is me with shorts and a t-shirt when it's 50 degrees outside. Originally from Wisconsin I have blood thicker than motor oil.

And drive with your knees or what?

Actually when I had an 88 hatch my heater button broke and I had one of those little heaters. It was crap but since it was all I had at the time I used it even though it seemed like it wasnt working.

in my old carbeurated truck it took about 30 minutes to get hot during Oklahoma's winters. so i would wear extra clothes (and eat lots of high fiber foods like beans ).

i dont see why you didnt jsut fix your heater if you needed it.
i have never owned a honda that didnt produce too much damn heat with the heater on...and I own 5 hondas now plus one prior to that.

and as far as what i use for heat without the heater in mycar...i use nothing. i took teh heat out for weight savings, and i live without it, so when it is cold i dress accordingly.
