Default cx trans

need to know if a cx trans will work with a d16z6 or any 16 valve engine? someone said the splines were different on the input shaft. If that is so then I was wondering if you could use the flywheel off the cx on the 16 valve??

I heard the cx is like 20 splines and the others are 21 or something like that.

not 100% on this one but i thought the only 21 spline d-series trans was the 88 crx si trans that also used a 200 mm clutch rather than a 220mm clutch...

all i know for sure is if you use a cx trans with a z6 you will be verry disapointed in the gearing, its way too high
