Default Need help ASAP please!

Hi guys! I have searched but found no answers. My question is, how do remove the rotor cap or that black round plastic piece that behind the distributor cap?
Thanks

do you mean the how do you remove the rotor? there is a screw behind it. unscrew it and it will come off. i wish i had a picture. you may have to turn the crank to reveal the screw though. someone else chime in with pics if you can.

Also, what do mean I might have to turn the crank? Is that putting my key in the ingition and turn it but not starting the car? Just noting that my distributor cap, the black plastic with sparkplugs wire connecting to it is taking off right now.

Thanks

Yes, with the distributer off, crank the car. After each turn, check behind the rotor to reveal a screw. If you don't see it after the first crank, crank it again. Oh, just remove the big black piece. It comes off.

I dont' see the screw anywhere. Am I suppose to start up the car? I hope not because I was told not to start the car while the distributor cap is off. Anyways, about the black removable piece thing, from what can I tell, it will not comes off unless the rotor is off. Can someone confirm this for me. I tried turning my key form one to three, and I don't see the screw anywhere. Is the rotor suppos to rotates and I crank the car?

Thanks

there is a screw. You just have to look harder. Its on the rotor shaft. Push the plastic piece back, it wont come off untill the rotor is off.
