Default Want to lower my 00 Coupe, advise needed...

I am looking to lower my car about 2.5" all around or so. What do you guys suggest? I am looking for something that provides a comfy daily ride. I do not mind something a little stiff, but I do not want to rattle my brain everytime I hit a tiny bump. I had ghetto ebay coilovers on my last hatch that had sagged, and every bump sounded/felt like I just drove off a 30 foot cliff. Thanks.

Here's some advice. Don't bump your thread 15 minutes after your first post. People will get to it. Relax. Also, use the Search feature. I am sure you can find plenty of coilover setups and lowering springs in the search area to keep you satisfied. Look in appearance/cosmetic. There are too many options out there. Off the top of my head i would say in with H&R Race Springs. 2.5 in the front 2.25 in the rear. Match those with some GOOD struts and you're set. 1

^^

No need to be rude about it.

Back on topic..

My car is slammed about 3.5" on Ground Control Coilvers with Tokico Illumina shocks. The ride quality is great and it looks good too. There are a lot of good setups out there, I like this one pretty well.

My bad. I didn't mean to be rude. Good luck on finding a good setup. Also think about what kind of driving you do. Terrain you drive on. Driveways you tend to go up. Things like this tend to effect how happy one is after there setup is installed. 1

I am really leaning toward basic off the shelf GC coilovers with kyb agx shocks. I just want to make sure the KYB shocks can hold up to the GCs without blowing a month after running that setup.

if you want to, spend a little extra cash and get koni sports struts (yellows). they will be the best option for a DD application and it will do very well on the track.

I used Eibach and did about 2.5. Ride is a bit stiff but not annoying, corners great though.

Don't go with the AGXs, they arn't "rated" for drops like that. I'd go with some Koni Yellows and GCs.

Tokicos suck...*looks at mine*

go with anything you want then. you're going to get what you pay for so just keep that in mind. koni yellows will last you a very very long time so it well worth the investment.

I have agx's. Had them teamed up with dropzone coil overs, lovered about 3.75 inches for 2 years no problems, rode decent. little on the stiff side, and now i threw the dropzones out and replaced them with omni sleeves. Ride is great. lowered about 3 inches now though due to a 3 inch downpipe i dont want to have smashed. Not *** stiff but the adj. shocks make a world of difference on stiff to soft settings

You are looking for a nice ride but don't want to shell out the coin for it. I wish it were possible these days but its hard. You can try the KYBs but they ride like . Also, what kind of spring rates are you looking for.

If you don't want to shell out 500 for some konis, then what is your budget? I mean you could go with some tokico illuminas and some gc's but I wouldn't expect any good performance out of them.
