Default 2001 Accord LX Wet Engine

My other half yesterday decided it would be a good idea to hose down her dirty, dusty engine compartment on her 2001 Accord LX. Of course, as I feared, the car will now not start. I know this is a common problem, but I just wanted to check on here to ask if there's anything particular to this model vehicle that I might need to take into account when diagnosing and treating the problem. My approach is to identify what ignition system component was affecting by the wetting (distributor I expect), dry it out if it's serviceable, or replace it if it isn't. If there's anything else I should be concerned about on this model? I would appreciate the feedback.
Thanks!

-Tony

good call...she hosed the **** outa it and now there is moister undrneith the cap which is causing the spark to arc...you have 2 options....

1.take off the cap, spray with break cleaner and allow to drive

Don't be too hard on her. It's done all the time, with no problems. I usually spray mine off at the car wash, when it gets dirty. Never had a no start problem. Check the cap, and make sure the gasket is on it and there are no cracks.
