Just wondering idf anyone knwos if it would be a problem if i was to lower my car say .75". I am currently useing 17"x7.5" Volk TE-37's. To me it looks like i will have some rubbbing if i lower the car at all casue the wheel sticks out a bit.

If rubbing does occur, you can always set the wheel to some slight negative camber to fix the problem. Then you can adjust the toe accordingly so that the negative camber won't wear out your tires unevenly.

This is what I did my car earlier today. One of my tires (driver's rear) was rubbing like crazy and the other 3 were fine even though they all had a 1 finger gap. I even rolled the fender and it still rubbed! So I finally took it in for an alignment today and discovered that the wheel was rubbing because it had too much positive camber so it was slightly sticking out of the fenderwell. I had the mechanic adjust it to about -1.7 degees camber so now it tucks slightly into the fenderwell like all of the other wheels. No more rubbing

i got the same wheels and they rub occasionally in the rear. i'm gonna roll the fenders and also pull the fenders out slightly for even more clearance.

seems if you have 205/40 it won't rub, but I got 205/45. taller tyre for a little extra protection against bending the rim on potholes

currently, rear tyres are rubbing but not the front (at least not in a straight line). Not sure if it'd rub during hard cornering situations.

yshi - who'll be using 205/40 for the track
