i have a spd sensor code but i replaced the speed sensor with new one...and still get a check engine light(speed sensor code). the speedometer and odometer guages arent working so im thinking it may be the guage cluster....? but im not sure if that would throw a check engine light(speed sensor code)..would it? i checked the wiring connecting to the ecu and its okay... anyone with expierence with this that has info would be greatly appreciated.

Since you've already replaced the sensor I'd re-check the wiring. Continuity from the sensor plug to the ECU. If I remember correctly, the wires go from VSS to ECU to Cluster. The cluster not working won't trip a VSS code, only VSS to ECU.
