My sisters lude died. I tried jumping it and it only held the charge for like a minute. I was thinking that even if the alt. was shot, the battery would hold the charge for more then a minute (i jumped for like 15 mins). I bought a new battery, and of course it runs fine now. However, the battery light is still on. Why is this?

Getting the alternator replaced. Sound like a good idea?

 

new alternator. Drove home and after driving for 3 mins the light came back on after the install. I replaced the battery clamp connections to the terminals. No luck. Someone help me please
