Headliner bubbles...what to do?
Alright...so when I bought my rex, it had some "ridges" right above the driver's shoulder on the headliner...looked like someone had held a lighter under it or something. What is that from?
And the second thing is that on the sunroof, there are bubbles forming on the headliner. I poked a hole in a few of them with a pin, but the bubbles won't squish out. What do I do? Can I fix it?
Anybody have their whole headliner pulled out? Is there any problems with pulling it, even if I have a sunroof?
Thanks,
Alex

duno if this is gona be any help but my headliner on the sunroof gets bubbles every once and a while but it seems like it all depends on the weather, they usually go away by themselves.

Already tried the pin/needle and flatten routine...actually I used a sharp pen, but I'll give it another go. Nasty-*** holes in my headliner now! I'm thinking I should just pull it all out, and leave it, but that'll be ugly too.
Thanks for the replies, guys

1. take headliner out of car
2. measure and go to your local fabrics or audio shop, purchase your fabric
3. carefully peel old headliner off backing (use heatgun if needed)
4. hose down both liner and the back of new fabric with adhesive (formica adhesive is best, use 3M super 77 in a pinch)
5. let tack up for a minute or two and have a friend help you position the new fabric over it.. rubbing carefully from the middle outward
6. trim excess and reinstall after letting sit for a couple hours to be on the safe side
7.enjoy...
