Do people get wheel rubs with stock ride height?
Because I saw a set of rims at the tire rack that are 17"7.5. How low can I drop the car without it rubbing? And also where exactly does it rub and are there any solutions?
I am base as well and had rub issues with the rear when hitting bumps with stock Steelies all alone in the car and I weigh about 160. I went over to 15" Slips and the rub was a little more noticeable. Nothing major at all but kinda odd.
Now that I dropped the sucker, I have to take it real easy over dips and bumps otherwise I rub on the inside of the wheel well. Front and Rear if not careful.
But again... nothing major.

Depending on the offset and tire size you go with.....
Solution: Roll the inner lips on the fenders! Take it to a pro. tire place and they may have the right equipment to do this

or u can just get a baseball bat and do it yourself. dont really need to go to a "pro" to roll the fenders.

You can do anything "DO it yourself", But you take a chance of bending your fender if you do it yourself! Especially if you've never done it before. Take it to a pro....trust me!

Rolling the fender means rolling, or bending, the inside lips of the fender up to give more space for the tire.
