93 Del Sol SI stock right now, but thinking of adding a AEM Short Ram Induction system. Advance Auto parts has it on sell for $88.88. Is this a good buy? Does it really add to mileage and power? Thanks for any and all feedback.

 

it gets you minimal gains in mileage and power. You won't feel anything. It'll just sound good. Just get a K/N cone filter and stick it on your stock intake arm.

 

or get a cheap-o off ebay for 8 bucks, short rams are just pipes with a filter on the end, you're just paying aem for placing their name on the tube.

 

short rams give you about like... 6 or 7 hp increase. but you wont really feel the difference. maybe in sound.

 

u wont get hp increase.. ur dreaming if u think ur ganing any kind of hp.. its mainly on dseries n/a boltons are useless for power unless u do a complete race build or something. but other than that the air intake will mainly just add a nice deep rumble to ur stock exhaust.. i personally love that sound.

 

i like the comptech ice box.
you wont draw hot air from the engine bay like you work with the aem sri.
