engine light after hi flow cat was installed
the bastards that got me the cat are the biggest cons.... i jacked my car up and i noticed the sensor that was just tied to the cat.. there was no hole for the sensor.. so now i have to get a new cat.. any suggestions?? secondly is their a way i can turn of the engine light without getting a new cat!??!?!!
i did that... the lgiht went out.. then after dirinv a little it pops right back on again.. the mechanic said hes going to burn a hole throught he cat and thestick the sensor back into it.... right now the sensor is just tied to the freaking cat..... there is no hold in the cat... . you thikn that will work?
I dont know the exact procedure(i'm sure someone will soon), but there are two wires near glove compartment that you can check what codes your are throwing then just twist them apart. Again, sorry I dont know exactly what to do, but there is a pretty easy way to get that code off.
I'm not sure what year yours is but I also got a CEL when I installed my Free-flow cat... I have a hole for my o2 sensor, and it is plugged in, but the code I'm flashing is for Catalyst System... I know it has something to do with the cat, and I took it to my old job at Acura and they said it's not hurting anything, there is some kind of air sensor in the cat and when it read all that air rushing by, it set off the CEL... HTH...

i would get a bung welded in for it anyway so that way it dont get messed up , but the cell light aint a big dela mines been on for a year and 1/2 now .
