Want to run nitrous.... few questions/concerns?
I know running nitrous isn't an ideal route to take for wanting more power but it seems interesting
. I really dont like the idea of turbo. I just want the extra power on some occasions... not continous.
I'm just wondering, that should I watch out for? I know tuning is a must.
-Do I need to get the car sleeved up for nitrous? Or does that only apply turbo/sc?
-What exactly do I need to replace to run nitrous more safe/reliable? Fuel management? Ecu?
If running nitrous without turbo (nitrous can be used to reduce lag... corect?) is stupid... disregard this topic.

your answered 1 question...now 2 whats bad with boost???? GL with your motor
IMO there are alot better things to do to get consistant hp increases that are safer..

in that case nitrous is a good choice. why is it not ideal?

yes if you want more than 100 whp... but if you are going to invest that much money on the block, might aswell go turbo.

if you are going to run the recommended shot of nitrous (usually 75hp increase), than all you need is a healthy engine

I wouldn't do it...star with basic bolt ons then do a tune...

I would also do bolt on modifications first, and then get a nice engine management and get nitrous, so many people say call it unsafe, but as long as you tune, there is no problem, you would probably want to go with a wet kit for its simplicity

Can anyone else confirm this? The engine was rebuilt about 25k ago and a 75 hp gain sound ok to me. I'm not looking to reach 400 whp on a FWD car anyways.
I was also looking at some of the NX kits here:
http://www.sportcompactonly.co...Honda
I was wondering which kit would be the SAFEST to run? Also which kit would require less precautions for me to take?

if ur gonna go w/ nitrous, get a wet kit. i would get one of nx's direct injection kits to even out the n2o dispersement. if ur goin 70+ hp, get some kind of ignition timing retard. 2 degrees recommended.
I like the NX stuff. Reasonable prices for the HP I'm going to gain. So would sleeving the car be recomended if I'm only getting a 75 HP kit? Or would I be fine with just buying the kit and putting her in?
i just put 1 on, got it as a gift. its more fun than i thought. it comes with different injector sizes that will fit ur need. depending wat u have , they have charts for it in the kits. follow it and it'll be safe, though its not crazy power if u follow the charts but safe and fun.
Ok, I think I settled on the first kit on this page:http://turboimport.com/catalog/nitrousexpress.htm
What would I need EXACTLY to keep my car as reliable as possible?
Things I know I need/should do:
-Buy kit
-Tune
-Good ECU
