Default head bolts.

i am putting a y8 head on a a6 block. I have heard mixed opinions. What head bolts should i use? y8 or a6? I heard that you must put a washer on the one near the vtec solenoid if using a6 bolts instead of the y8 bolts. But even with a washer the a6 bolt is far longer than the a6 ones. I have searched and havent found anything. Please help. Thanks

Well i think you pretty much match everything to the head you are using but doubl;e check the head bolts I believe 1 or 2 of the bolts are shorter than the rest make sure you put them in the proper spot

yes there is a difference, some studs on the y8 arent long enough which you will see for yourself...go to a junk yard and pull some off a block
