Default Phearable vs. Kenji ECU

Just wondering if you guys know of any differences between the two ECU's (Kenji and Phearable). I'm leaning towards using Phearable's ECU, due to the amount of cars he has personally tuned over the years. The list is very impressive. I'm just wondering if you guys have any personal experiences with those ECU's and how they benefitted your ride.

I have a 95 integra RS, with I/H/E, AEM accessory pulleys & AEM cam gears. Motor runs strong, even with 155K miles. I get awesome gas mileage even with using 87 octane...30 mpg! This will be my last engine modification, (unless I need a Skunk IM and a bored out TB) before I do an engine swap in a few years. My goals are to pick up a few more horses, be able to hang with a GSR in a 1/4 mile, while still getting around 30mpg. If this goal is feasible with the addition of an ECU modification to my existing mods, let me know. I would think with the amount of mods I have done so far, with the addition of an ECU, I would be able to hang with a GSR till at least 4th gear. If not, then I'll probably add a skunk IM and ported TB to get a few more horses, and re-tune the ECU.

Anyhow, let me know what you guys think and your experiences with both ECU's. Thanks.

with the amount of modifications done to your car, it is not necessary and would be a waste to get your ecu chipped. Wait until you get a new intake manifold, cams, full i/h/e, etc. For your next mod, I'd look into valve train and cams, then look into getting your ecu chipped. You'll see better gains with cams over an aftermarket intake manifold. My recommendation is to wait off on the ecu mod.

As for phearable or kenji..both are very knowledgable in the ecu tuning world. You should be pleased with either guy you go with.

Will you be able to hang with a GSR till at least 4th gear? Honestly, probably not since your LS gears a longer than the GSR's.

Thanks for the honest reply. I was thinking of going cams as well, but I want to be street and smog legal. With the ECU I can easily change it out when its time for smog. I just figured spending 150 to make sure that I'm getting the max. amount of hp from my existing mods, would be a good idea.
