First thing, you need to go to Michael’s or wherever and pick up a can of Testors Competition Orange #1628(spray can works best):
I used some krylon farm and implement paint my father in law had lying around, came out just like everyone else's who used that tesors paint. That little can is kinda expensive.

Just take the bulb out and go up to Advanced Auto Parts, Napa, Autozone, Pep Boys etc.. and get amber bulbs.
Five #24 automotive bulbs (they come in 2-pack, so you’ll get six)
Three #74 bulbs.
The cluster takes five #24’s and one #74, and the climate control takes two #74’s.

i already brought the bulbs and dont want to go buy more so i was thinking of getting nail polish remover and taking off the paint then spray painting them again with a different type of amber paint besides testors #1628.

I would just buy the bulbs. I read somewhere on here that the spray painted bulbs tend to fade faster.

ooh come one everyone knows the permanent marker method is the best...get amber bulbs from auto parts store and put about 3-4 coats of red perm. marker on each of em about 10 minutes apart for each coat...mines been lookin the same for 2-3 weeks now..looks great! actually now its a TINY bit less red and more toward orange so it's like perfect

just called every craft and auto store in my town and the only place that carried it is Michael's craft store. even went to the Krylon website and called the places listed as dealers, so i am taking it as this stuff is not stocked in alot of krylon dealers.
