i have SOME DSLR QUESTIONS
i know there are bunch of threads on here with the word "tips help etc" but those threads are 100 of pages filled with peoples pictures. might as well call it a gallery. anyways i have a few quick questions
i have a canon 350d and wondering why the shots ive been taking are just like the point and shoot cameras..
i have the kit lens and a wideangle lens.
so does is the wideangle lens supposed to screw onto the kit lens etc?
also..it doesnt look very "wideangle" to me. any tips on improving the shots and how do you manual turn off the flash without actually being in flash mode. thanks guyss..all my shots look like from the regular point and shoot ;[
also anyone know how to take rolling shots..i cant even adjust the iso.

photography is an art, and like other forms of art, the artist is more important than the tools they are using. i would suggest reading some photography books (including the manual) and more importantly practice shooting.

Not sure if it's different, but isn't wide = anything lower than 18mm?
Never gotten into wide angle lenses.
And yeah, sign up for http://www.accessphoto.com/ they can help you a lot more.

i would avoid any of the such. there will be nothing but an incredible loss of image quality if you mount that on top of any lens.

its very true though, having a good camera doesn't necessarily make you a good photographer. anyways, the more practice you get, the easier it will become for you to be familiar with your camera and know how to change the settings to enhance your photography. even the great photographers started off not knowing how to control their camera. you can really see an evolution of photography skill with time with most people (especially on this site)

Read the manual. I asked the same stuff about 2 years ago and everyone kept telling me to read the manual.
Everything is in there, well most. Then just practice and practice
Photoshop helps a bunch, learn how to use that too
