Default CBR1000? R1?

Ok Im new at this whole riding street bikes but I have riden bikes be4. I really wanna know which is the better 1000cc bike to get my hands on. I have heard that the hondas will out last a yamaha. I love both bikes but I want to find out if anyone really know the better of the 2. When it all comes down to it I just wanna end up buying the better bike. If Im gonna spent like 10-12gs for a bike I want the better bike so if there is anyone kind enough to fill me in I would be very thank full

*****. Get a Hayabusa.

Given your s/n, it seems as if your decision is already made up.

Seriously, though, don't get a literbike for your first street bike. Please don't.

use the search tool ...goddamit

what are you guys talking about, thats EXACTLY what the motorcycle scene needs is another 19 year old on an 1000cc supersport who has little to no riding experience!!!

It sounds like those 2 bikes wont be enough power for your ability. I would go straight to the RC211v or the Yami M1 if I were you.

You our correct about the Honda outlasting the yamaha. The Yami usually blows around 5k miles while the 1000rr is around 10. Just make sure you get the turbo tornado for the intake. Goodluck

if you were really looking for reliability answers they wouldnt be available or accurate because of the fact that the 1KRR hasnt been out but for what, 2 years. other than that they are both very fast and carve with the precision of large scalpals. they are far faster and capable that you are.

dont worry about which one performs then best. worry about what color scheme you want and which one has more turbo kits available.

you are easily amused/pleased my friend.

to seriously answer your question ('cause you're gonna do what you're gonna do reguardless of what we say). all 1000cc bikes or 600cc supersports are very similar. some excel in different areas, quicker 0-60, slightly better handling, better mpg, low/midpower... some girls are fatter then others!

personally i would vote the ZX-14R, then you can REALLY show off the size of your roll-on/top speed ****

or get a used hayabusa and with the left over money throw it in a good turbo setup

i was gonna say "die in a fire, idiot", but it seems to me that you're not gonna live very long anyway so

please don't. I'm not trying to say this will happen cuz it might not.

ok yea it will, you'll get the bike, and it'll scare the hell out of you, and then you'll destroy the bike, yourself, or just end up selling it.

the best thing that MIGHT happen is that you'll get on and you'll ride like a squid bitch causing traffic and holding up the world for the next 2 years until you finally get used to it. If you can survive that long.
but if you think you have good hand eye coordination or have some other squid excuse go right ahead .

btw if this is schu and this is some sick joke i'll be very upset

trust me, coming from riding dirt bikes, the concept of riding is the same (same mechanics) however, the skill, attention, physical endurance, etc is different.

I understaind the point of people telling me that I shouldent start on a 1000cc bike. But from my dads eyes he is looking at the money investment. I just rather start on a 1000 cus I know Im going to want to just from a 600 or 750 to a 1000 with in the 1st 6months. Every male in my fam. has done the same thing Im about to do. Why Im starting riding a bike @ 19 is because I hade my driving ablity taken from me untill I was 18 due to me being a drunkin fool and geting a d.u.i> I have been on bikes my whole life just not a supersport. I mean Im going to do what I want, so if I have to learn the hard way so be it I have done that my whole life. ALL I REALLY WANTED TO KNOW IF ANY 1 CAN GIVE ME AN ANSWER ON WHICH IS A BETTER BIKE!! I never asked if I should start out on a 1000 or not all I wasnt to know is which is a better bike thats its. So you guys can tell me I shouldnt start on a 1000 all day long Im not going to listen I mean I dont even listen to my wife WHT would I listen to you?...

1000RR. Hands down.

You don't listen to your wife? Even when she's your cousin?
