Right when i hit vtec it blows out a little puff of smoke, is it just unburnt fuel?? Is it not suppose 2 do that?? or is it?? Just curious..TIA

It could be unburnt fuel but you should careful it may be coolant...i had this problem and found out i was leaking coolant from the head, my gasket was blown!...get it checked out just to be safe....what colour is the smoke comeing out of the tail pipe?

I take it that this is bad? How can one stop this?

Will it hurt alot in the long run, or will everything be fine as long as I keep putting oil in it all the time

Mine smokes a little also.But my car is white so the back bumper get black.

 

See its just a puff of smoke then stops, being more specific it doesnt do it right at 4400, but it does when the secondaries come on...

I think it's just oil being burned off, cause a friend of mine has a GSR and when his secondaries open up a little puff of backish grey smoke comes out... There's nothing wrong with his car so I suppose it's normal... White smoke coming out you exhaust means a blown head gasket or piston rings... If it's white, then check head gasket and internals, otherwise I would say it's normal... HTH... Just my .02... ...

 

I've got the same problem. Turns out it's gas.....I run really rich when the engine is cold and when I'm at WOT.....the black smoke is just unburnt fuel passing through.....all I do is change my oil every 2000 miles because the fuel will dilute the oil and eat away at your rod bearings.....check your oil, if it smells like gas from a gas station and is black that's prolly what it is.......my gsr has 112K on it and that's the only problem she has......did a leak down and the results were awesome so I no it ain't the rings......
