you should have just got the high compression mahles and saved the money for other palces in your build..
well atleast you have a bulletproof block now.. ..its kind of like wearing full body armor bullet proof vest and all when some one is only hitting you with spit *****

My thoughts exactly, Mahle golds, or Type S pistons and save that money for the thousand dollar + header ur going to need to build a serious na engine. Looks good tho, but I hope you plan on spraying a big shot in there too or something.

For those who didn't know, this is my 2nd NA rebuild.
My first built composed of Type S pistions, milled head and Spoon gasket which gave me 12.2 compression. However due to valves failure, my motor was blown after 3K. Do a name search on my name and read the full story if you are interested.
So this time around, I am spending a bit more to build a bullet proof bottom end. Nothing is being cheap out in this built: GE godizilla sleeved, JE forged pistons, Eagle con-rods, Ferrea Comp plus valves, balanced crank, P&P head, plus my existing Jun valvetrain, ITBs & SMSP etc...
Having a strong NA motor is one thing, being reliable at the same time is another. This block gives the peace of mind as well as the future option to go direct port nitrous.

Yes, i wanted to keep the same displacement.

Oh **** that's right it is you. You had that valve break off from the stem. Guess it makes sense why you wanted to go all out now. You better throw a big shot in that man. I can see it now, 13's full interior full street, and 12's on the bottle!
I thought that the Jun valvetrain recommended the use of stock valves or was I mistaken and that was stock valve size?
Should be a nice build tho gj.
