So What is This New Noise Coming From My Clutch??
After taking my ITR out of storage for the winter, I'm hearing all sorts of new noises.
Once the car has warmed up, if I blip the throttle, there is a loud TAP TAP TAP noise that I first thought was really loud valves.
But if I push in the clutch, the TAP TAP goes away. I haven't stuck my head under the hood with a 2nd person blipping the throttle and pushing on the clutch...but it definitely seems like a clutch/tranny noise. Anybody exeperience this before? What is it?
Car has 92k miles. Clutch/throwout bearing replaced by Acura at 55K miles.

In a older British car, that would be the synchros sort of rattling around. Is it a steady "tap...tap...tap" or more of a "tap...tickety...tap...tap...tickety...tap...ticke ty...tickety...tick...tap"? If the latter, it's usually a request to change the tranny oil.
Might be worthwhile to check the tranny fluid level, and see if the fluid still looks clean.
