Default Thumbs down for Modacar

Dang!!! my authentic fake trype r shift **** is faded/discolored after only two months of use and i call'ed them up to see if they can replace it but no dice they say.

Ive read about others with the same situation and i wonder if Modacar handled it the same way .

They get a huge thumbs down i mean a shift **** is not going to bankrupt them if they have to replace it.

Honor your product guys..... thats why importparts.com rocks....

If the medal on the **** fades/discolors after two months then theres somthing wrong and yes its just a ****.... so im over it but they should still honor the thing.

Im sure Modacar has been good for alot of folks but this is just my opinion of them

I got to give them the dumbs up because I order from them once and they didn't have the item in stock and they email me back and say the item is on back order and if I still want it they ani't charging my credit card until they ship me my item or I could go ahead and cancel my order. So I cancel my order because they tell me is gotta take 1 month and they did cancel my order. Some shop if you want to cancel your order you better be dreaming.

You have GOT to be joking me. You want a refund on a 2 month old product, and a fake one at that?

Directly from modacar's site, you didn't read the terms and conditions, you lose.

Yes, and yes. Exactly.
You get what you pay for. Trying to give a reputable company a bad name because they don't give you something for free seems to be a growing trend.

I've never even heard of modacar, at least u aren't as broke as me, lol, I Snapped the shifter off my ford probe and it was sticking up like an inch...the boot completely covered it...i had to put a vice grip on it to shift and had it like that for like a month before I got a replcaement shifter... but yeah, that really made me look ghetto & poor

haha

I stay stock shift **** is good, word up, thumbs up for stock shifter

EDIT:
wait, I have to ask though...what the hell's the difference if hte paint faded off? It's still metal isn't it? Do u atually need the H pattern to tell u what gear ur in or does it have a big R that u need?

Like i said its my opinion and im glad alot of you guys have had a good experience with them

My hatch is not my daily driver

I just put the damn **** on not to long ago... total my hatch has seen about 350 miles with the **** on.

The whole think is fading and the finish is already chipping, so when i shift all that stuff gets on my hand?????

Just because you bought something from them and they delivered it to your door doesnt make them or anybody a reputable place... its a start but what if you recieve some defective stuff?

Im not trying to get anything for free i simply asked if i could exchange the item if i shipped it back and once they were able to see what i was talking about?

Sorry if that seemed so far fetched.

1. IT IS A FAKE ****, PERIOD

2. On their terms and conditions its says you have 10 days to return or exhange a product.

After two months they don't own u anything.

I can't believe you acutally upset because a fake item is giving you problems

If I receive something defective, I'll follow the return guidelines and get a refund or an exchange. You didn't receive anything defective. You received a knock off part for a fraction of what the original part would cost, and it's finish didn't last very long. A shift ****, just like a steering wheel, pedals, or a seat, is a wear item, and again, you get what you pay for.
If I order something from Modacar, or any other business for that matter, and it's delivered to my door as promised, that makes them a reputable seller in my eyes.

Default Re: (k_motor)

if this is the worst thiing that ever happens to you with aftermarket parts or companies....then consider yourself extremely lucky.

This week alone, lets see...

AEM FPR came defective for some reason (they're replacing ) - vacuum nipple didn't even have a hole in it (guess it never got machined on this one nipple)

Summit Racing apparently had sent me a kit for a 88-00 Civic (prothane bushings), and I ordered a 99-00 civic si kit....so all bushings worked except like 2 that now I have to reorder as most of the kit is already installed. There went almost $50-100.

I ordered some Eagle Rods I believe through a reseller for RZ Machine or whatever they are....took 3 weeks to get them, had already filed a chargeback and assumed they were never coming since they wouldn't respond to phone calls or e-mails (not RZ Machine, the reseller that is)....and also ordered another set, so now I hvae 2 sets (anyone need a set of D16Y8 h-beams?).

and that's just in the past 48 hours..... so a fake shift **** fading after 2 months.... sorry man, but that's just the way of life.

Nathan

So you want an exchange on a part you know is crap, and your going to want to exchange it in another two months when the same **** happens.

You definatly get what you pay for.
