Axle stuck
Please tell me the other ends are out of the transmission. Regardless, hose the bastards down with PB Blaster, leave it sit for a couple hours and then come back and get after it with a rubber mallet.
Is there enough angle (i.e. room) for the axles to pop out? I mean, if you have the lower balljoint still in the LCA, it will be harder for them to pop out.

No, they sure aren't.

This is also true. Pop the lower balljoint and the upper balljoint (if you have to) and she should have plenty of room to evacuate the axle.

yeah, pull the lower balljoint loose and tug on the tierod a bit (the steering part) this gives you some slack to work with. yeah, any good penetrant should get that thing loose from the hub.
