Default crx gauge cluster melting???HELP!

ok, let me start from the beginning , the car used to have a 95 sohc vtec in it, had a wiring issue (melting wires at the main relay) i switched out harness and the baught a b16a1 , put it in and had it wired in by one of the best around me.I still have not started it because i need a resistor box and gas , but i was putting everything else together(pr3 ecu, dash misc) then i put in the gauge cluster... after i hooked up the battery to check everything i could smell something, at this time i was putting in the dimmer switch, and i noticed it was hot , i started unpluging the cluster and noticed that on the back of the cluster, left plug, left contact, was melted..... i called this wiring gooroo and he told me it could have been that i put the wrong cluster in(i forgot to say the light for the bright lights was on)so i got my other cluster and put that in same thing , left side, left contact... i am at a loss and i would love to finish my car , someone please help me PLEASE!

does ur battery die overnight?. if it does, get a test light that finds shorts. the way u do it is u uplug the battery and turn ur swich on.connect both terminals of the test light to the termianls of the car's battery wires. if u have a short. the light is gonna go on. this is due because the testlight is gonna detect a small or big load depending on ur short, thus making the light turn on.leave the light connected to the battery wires and go inside ur car. make sure u can see the test light form inside ur car tho. ur gopnna want to remove fuse by fuse on the fuse board. ur gonna do this until the test light goes out, indicating that u found the short. say for example, if this was on the radio circuit, this way u know what circiut to adress only. that way u dont start tripping ***** of where to start. if u have any questions pm me, il be happy to awnser them as best as i can.

did u tryed what i said.. seriusly. ht ppl are not big on electrical problems. a lot of times if u post a thread that has an electrical related issue, ppl wont awnser them. this is due because typing facts is not enough , aside from complicated diagrams and variables. try the light if u havent.

it really worked for me. but my short was in the ac system. a loose hot wire was making slight contact. this coulda made my car catch fire. thank god it did not.
if not.. take it to an expert.
