Turbo GT40R S2000 -- Write up/build thread. Pics, dynos, and more!
So the project car has been found. We're going to pick it up tonight. This is a project a friend and myself have taken on. The hard top, turbo, and other misc. parts are on the way.
It's going to be built for drag racing.
I hate teasers just as much as the next guy, but I'll post a few pics to get things going.

It's currently a Comptech Supercharged S2000. The S/C will be removed ASAP.
The goal is 750whp on turbo only. Will possibly use nitrous for spool up and drag racing, maybe a 35-50 shot.
We're going to stick with stock bore and just have a high strung 2.0L.
From the research I've found, I see the drivetrain (diff, axles, LSD) is the weakest link. What else should I consider upgrading in the drivetrain?
The entire head will be re-worked, as well as the bottom end, obviously.
I'll post more pics, info, etc as time goes on. We're hoping to have this project done within the next 4 months. I will keep it as detailed as possbile as I did on my Turbo non-VTEC build ( https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1620181 ).
Comments, concerns, and criticism are always welcomed. Recommendations for parts, companies and other suggestions will be considered and appreciated.

Check out http://www.s2000turbo.com - Kane seems to be a cool guy. Are you going with a LoveFab kit or what? Can't wait to see her finished
The manifold will be custom made. Mainly because most kits can't fit anything larger than a GT35R.
Thanks for the link. I'll definitely check it out.

Im running the lovefab manifold with a PTE67, im hoping to make 750-800 on turbo only. good luck on your build nice to see other people doing big things with the car
well i see the lugs shearing around hard turns with lower hp...so maybe a high strength lug would be good insurance...also i would make sure the rear axle is strengthened to prevent flexing with the high hp and tq from dragging, other wise what else could u do? thats it for the rear, bigger rubber... and obviousely clutchwork.
i started a link here labeled cf driveshaft, the prices are high for the colorado company to make the s driveshaft because a custom yoke is required, but they have huge hp reliability track proven. also that posting has a link for a member who can offer an s2000 axle and rear end package, so that would be an easy place to start looking.

WOW.. good luck with the build..
And me being from the nissan word (RB25/S13)
I think a good diff to be used is the Z32 or J30
I remamber seeing some where, some one selling S13 Siliva Diff adators?
Well the Z32 and J30 isnt any differnt..
But when people start getting in to the 600+ HP might want to try some thing better
Bring out the 9in ford rear ?!?!

Not out yet and it uses a R200 from a 300zx which isn't exactly the same as the skyline. There are differences. They be coming out with the kit not too long from now

Most people got you in the right direction for the rear end. Axles and diff need to be replaced. With that high end power you will want to also look into the driveshaft and the clutch (I am using the Exedy twin carbon) and last but not least the tranny will go next if not first. So really you need to build the block and replace the whole drivetrain. Honda just didn't build this one for high hp numbers.
Good Luck

I thought that kit was already out. I saw pricing on the Ausi website. Was around 3k or so for everthing (prop shaft, axles, hubs, and diff adapter-you supply the diff).
Here's diff techniques site. I know there was another company offering a conversion kit as well. It's here somewhere in the archives.

I have a R200 just waiting in the garage, but for the time being the S2k is project "bone stock."

Plenty of videos to come.
The supercharger kit will be for sale after all the turbo supplies come in, unless someone is ready to buy, lol.
It's a Comptech S/C kit with aftercooler using a bigger Paxton blower.
I'm going to be shopping around for a stronger transmission. Possibly using a Liberty Gear set if they make anything for the S2000.
Going to order about ~$7,000 worth of parts over the weekend. I'll keep you guys posted with pics after it all comes in. I'm ordering all the main turbo parts first, then moving on to details (fuel system, lines, BOV, wideband, etc.).
