Searched already but still undecided???
I've searched this topic but still don't know what to do. I just got a 1991 Integra RS auto, and its not shifting smoothly. Do you think if I change the transmission fluid it will help a little bit? Now if I change the trans fluid, do I need to do the complete flush or just drain and refill? I've read that if the transmission fluid haven't change for a long time, flushing is not recommended. I'm not sure when is the last time the previous owner change the trans fluid. What do I need to do???

If you flush it and the fluid hasn't been changed in a long time, it might activate a pre-existing sludge problem.
Personally, I'd just flush it and see what happens. If you end up needing another automatic tranny, they're cheap (if they're used). However..I haven't had an auto tranny in a long time.
You'll probably get mixed answers on this.
